Linehouse Privacy Policy
Effective date:
Linehouse is operated by Dioko LLC, doing business as Linehouse Studios (“Linehouse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit linehousestudios.com, use the Linehouse drawing application and beta releases, or contact us.
Linehouse stores saved drawings, layers, document settings, imported reference images and thumbnails, reusable drills, and application preferences locally on your device. It uses this information to display your artwork and references, run drawing exercises, reopen saved work, and remember your settings. Features and file permissions vary by platform.
Local storage is separate from information you send us through feedback, support, or diagnostics. A screenshot you submit, for example, may contain your artwork or a reference image. Your operating system or backup provider may also copy application data under your device settings and that provider’s policies.
Feedback and correspondence. When you use our website’s feedback form, we receive the message you submit and your email address if you choose to provide it. The email field is optional and allows us to reply or follow up. If you contact us through other channels, we receive the information you choose to send, which may include your name, device details, bug descriptions, screenshots, or other attachments. Please avoid sending passwords or information unrelated to your request.
Apple TestFlight. If you install the iPad beta through TestFlight, Apple collects crash logs and usage information and makes beta testing information available to us. This may include device and operating-system information, app version, sessions, crashes, and feedback you submit. Feedback can include screenshots and personal information visible in them. Apple’s TestFlight terms explain this collection and state that its automatic beta testing data collection cannot be individually opted out of while using the beta through TestFlight. See Apple’s TestFlight terms and TestFlight privacy information.
Accounts and access checks. An email address is required to create an account.
Website, updates, and other diagnostics. Our Sites use Google Analytics, a web analytics and advertising service. You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Notice and their informational page. You can also download and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to limit the use of your data by Google. If you submit feedback, we log some metadata about your Linehouse app installation.
We use feedback and correspondence to respond to questions, investigate problems, and improve Linehouse. We use TestFlight information to evaluate the beta, understand stability and usage, and address defects. When you provide an email address for follow-up, we use it to communicate about your feedback or beta experience.
Where account or access information is collected as described above, we use it to authenticate users and manage access. Where technical logs or update information are collected as described above, we use them to deliver the website and software, distribute updates, diagnose failures, and protect the service against misuse. We also process information when necessary to comply with applicable law or resolve legal claims.
Service providers. We use third-party service providers (including software-as-a-service tools, business consultants, and independent contractors) to assist us with the operation of Linehouse and the provision of products and services. We do so with the agreement that they will only process your information when it’s necessary or their services and it’s consistent with this policy. Some of these service providers may use artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies as part of the services they deliver to us, provided such use is solely in accordance with the terms of our contract with the service provider and also in accordance with any applicable data protection laws.
Distribution platforms. Apple handles information under its own privacy policy when you use TestFlight. Other app stores or download platforms you choose may also process information under their policies. Our handling of information we receive from those platforms is covered by this policy.
Legal and business circumstances. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect people or our legal rights, or investigate fraud or security incidents. Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
At your direction. We may share information when you direct us to do so or give the required permission.
Locally saved content remains in application storage until it is removed or that storage is cleared. Device backups may retain separate copies. Deleting local app data does not, by itself, delete feedback, account information, or diagnostics already sent to us or Apple.
You may request deletion of personal information we hold using the contact details below. We will assess your request under applicable law and explain any information we must retain and why. We cannot delete information held independently by Apple or another provider; you may need to contact that provider separately.
You can submit website feedback without an email address, choose what you include in support requests, and manage photo or file permissions through your device settings. Withdrawing a permission may prevent the associated import feature from working. You can stop participating in TestFlight by removing the beta app; this does not automatically erase information previously collected.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator or appeal a decision about your request.
Send requests using the contact details below. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where an appeal right applies, contact us with “Privacy appeal” in your message. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information we handle to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Please protect your device and account credentials and contact us if you believe your information has been compromised.
We will update this policy as our practices change and revise the effective date above. For material changes, we will provide a prominent website or in-app notice or contact you directly when appropriate. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a new use of personal information. An updated policy does not replace any consent required by law.
